The future is not looking bright for Raven’s Home, which has officially been cancelled by Disney Channel after six seasons, TVLine has confirmed.
A continuation of That’s So Raven, which aired on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007, Raven’s Home reunited viewers with the sitcom’s titular psychic (played by Raven-Symoné), who was now the mother of twins — including a son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown), who has clairvoyant powers of his own. Set in Chicago for its first four seasons, Raven’s Home ultimately relocated back to San Francisco (aka the original setting of That’s So Raven) for the remainder of its run.
In addition to the psychics mentioned above, the original cast of Raven’s Home included Navia Robinson as Raven’s daughter Nia, Anneliese van der Pol as Raven’s BFF Chelsea, Jason Maybaum as Chelsea’s son Levi and Sky Katz as their neighbor Tess. Nearly all of those actors departed ahead of Season 5, which then introduced Rondell Sheridan as Raven’s dad Victor, Mykal-Michelle Harris as Raven’s niece Alice, Felix Avitia as Booker’s new buddy Neil and Emmy Liu-Wang as Victor’s neighbor Ivy.
Raven’s Home‘s Season 6 finale, which now will serve as its series finale, aired on Sept. 3, 2023.
As part of an overall deal with Disney Branded Television, Raven-Symoné will executive-produce and direct Alice in the Palace, a comedy pilot that follows Alice back to England, where she reunites with her doppelganger, Duchess Clementine. Harris will play both Alice and the duchess.
Our sister site Deadline was first to report the news.
Your thoughts on Raven’s Home ending? Would you watch Alice in the Palace? Drop ’em in a comment below.
I’m going to miss watching Raven’s Home because it’s a good show and I can’t wait to watch Alice in the Palace.
Was Raven’s brother ever mentioned? Like maybe why his daughter isn’t with him?
They didn’t say where he was but they mentioned him in reference to Raven’s childhood. And Alice wasn’t his daughter. She was like a cousin or something.
Oh, Snap!
Well, it ended with Booker in college. Guess it was time.
Is it me or Alice in the Palace sounds similar to Corey in the House?
Wait the last episode was initially a season finale???? It definitely felt like a series finale vs some of their other shows
Well and she would’ve been busy anyway as I’m not sure when there going to do tape the episodes of scrabble but she is the host and on cw Monday will be game night with scrabble hosted by raven Simone and trivial pursuit hosted by Levar Burton
I’m more surprised to hear it wasn’t already cancelled. The last episode felt like it was meant to end the series. The only thing missing really was closure for Nia.
She’s in Guatemala building homes for the poor.
I really wanted to see the ending of Alice finding out that Raven and Booker had psychic powers, and see what Alice would have said/done😔. But yea I would watch “Alice in the Palace”
Wait, so how come Raven’s Home isn’t bothering with a real series finale episode? I mean a show being forced off the air just for a spinoff? Only good thing about this is at least it’s not on a broadcast network (where schedule space is always so tight). I’d just be sad about there even being one tiny unresolved cliffhanger on Raven’s Home last-ever episode; That would’ve killed its rewatch value for me.
That’s so Canceled
Raven should have seen it coming.
🤣🤣🤣
I would rather like to see another season of ravens home because you can’t replace an original with a copy. Just like SpongeBob and the Patrick star show Nia can’t replace Raven and Patrick can’t replace SpongeBob.
