Apps Script Quota Limit

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Quotas for Google Services and how that relates to a Google Workspace Individual account. Specifically, I'm looking at the "Email recipients per day" and "Apps Script projects" quota.

The consumer quota is 100/d and 50/d respectively while Workspace accounts are 1500/d and 50/d. However, the note at the bottom of that sections reads:

  • Note: Additional limits apply for trial accounts. After you convert from a free trial account to a paid subscription, your account limits automatically increase when both of the following are true:
  • Your domain has cumulatively paid at least USD $100 (or equivalent).
  • At least 60 days have passed since reaching that payment threshold.

I have a script on a now Workspace Individual account that takes in Form responses and emails out to 3 or more recipients. I am still in the trial period, so that's fine, but the help page makes no distinction between Workspace Individuals and Workspace Essential/Business. Will my account receive the increased email quota?

Does the $100 stipulation also apply? If it does, I wouldn't receive the increase for more than a year. At the current exchange rates (GBP > USD), I'm only paying $99.65/y. And that's if I change to the 12 months upfront.

I also don't quite understand what a daily limit to Apps Script project could be. Is it relating to how many functions can be run? The total number of projects?

Apologies for the the very wordy questions. I've been scratching my head on this for a long time and have not found any conclusive explanations.

Thank you!

I was able to find a google support channel with the answer, if anyone else is looking for the same.

On the service limit page I linked, the google Workspace column specifically refers to the Business / Essentials variants of the service, not the Individual subscription. A Workspace individual account does not come with any increased Apps Script quotas, although I've been told it has been submitted as a requested feature. For my purposes, I am able to move to a Workspace Business account, which I'm told I can pay $100 into credit upfront to start the 60 days.

Hope this helps anyone else confused like me 🙂

Thank you Ben! I was struggling with the same problem. This should be clearer on the documentation:
