📖 "If you want to go far, go together.” From 2020 to 2023, I was part of a Mindfulness Meditation community operating under Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. We met every 2 weeks, first as peers, then as mentor-peer sessions. These sessions were great. We meditated together, explored the theory of the mind, and discussed DEI&A topics. In March 2023, the program ended, and so did these sessions. I did not think much of it until a few months ago when I felt something was missing in my practice. I realised it was this network—my former pod. The conversations, explorations, practices, immersions. The support. I've now re-engaged with a related community and felt immediately at home.

Resilience has a lot to do with our openness and tolerance of painful and uncomfortable internal experiences. It's normal to have a tendency to focus strategies that promote positivity and think about what's the next best solution to "get myself through" the situation. However, moving away too quickly from these painful and uncomfortable experiences can actually be counter-productive to cultivating resilience.
