In my experience, especially when there's not yet 100% clarity on the best behaviour to follow, ethics can act like a lighthouse in the storm. Adhering to solid and transparent integrity principles can not only mitigate the risk of infringing copyrights but also protect your personal or company image in case of any issue. Keeping in mind the good old ethics can be crucial to do the right thing while pushing creativity boundaries.

Think about the Oppenheimer movie. CGI already exists, but Christopher Nolan went the extra mile and actually exploded real TNT to recreate the explosion of the atomic bomb. To be honest this is one of the reasons why I went to the cinema and paid a ticket to watch the movie: because I respect the effort that he put into his art. In the same way, AI may make things easier but people like me will still be very happy to pay for something that has been created by real human effort and pain.

I try to be as natural as possible in my art (s) and choose to use AI as little as possible at this point in time. Since AI is already imbedded and imbedding itself into our various disciplines one can only hope it stays positive and as humans we are in control of it rather than it being in control of us. Life is short while longevity is a goal we could all aspire to. AI might just outlive us all. We must be careful for what we wish. ✨💛🕊️🕊️
