An important goal is to reach nZEB or net zero energy building,a building with net energy consumption equal to zero. Net Zero consumption means that we will have own generation systems (for example renewable energy) that offset all the energy consumption of the building.

Thermostat itself its a device that needs an engineering programation in order to be SMART and to give energy savings, so to have the best thermostat for energy savings depends first to choose the right thermostat for the machine to control (is it for a room hotel?, for your house?, for a AHU?, RTU?, etc.) then many manufacturers provide advanced tools in order to have an advanced progamation as a PDI control for example… so before a smart energy/saving thermostat it is necessary to have a good professional choosing the right one for the application and programming depending on project needs…. A good option for BMS projects is to choose thermostats based on Open technologies & Open Systems ;)
