Premium Insights on LinkedIn Pages - Overview

Premium Business, Sales Navigator, and some Recruiter subscribers have access to unique company insights to aid them in research and analysis. These insights are accessible via a Premium Insights tab located toward the top of each LinkedIn Page and include:

  • Total Employee Count: The total number of LinkedIn members employed at the company over time.

  • Employee Distribution and Headcount Growth by Function: The distribution and growth of company employees by function trending over time.
  • New Hires: Trending count of newly hired employees over time. Senior management is defined as employees with previous or current titles as Vice President or higher, but could vary by sector.
  • Notable Alumni: Former employees with past titles of Vice President or higher who have a past position with the company that ended within the last 24 months.
  • Total Job Openings: The company's total job posts available on LinkedIn, segmented by seniority and function, trending over time.
For the job openings insight, all functions not listed in the table are included in the Other function. Because companies differ in function composition, peer growth for Other may include different functions across peers.
We collect, organize, and develop insights on companies based on profile information of LinkedIn members. At times, actual employee counts may differ from what we have computed. This can be due to a variety of reasons, including but not limited to, a company's industry, the frequency with which the company updates its self-reported numbers on LinkedIn, as well as differences between what a company counts as an employee and how an employee represents him/herself on LinkedIn. Any Page with less than 30 employee profiles on LinkedIn will not have Premium Insights displayed.
