Delete an article or a draft

Last updated: 9 months ago

Important to know

This feature is not available on the LinkedIn mobile app.

You can delete a published article or its draft on our publishing platform.

Once you delete your article or draft, it won't be available on LinkedIn and we won't be able to retrieve the content of your article. Additionally, we'll no longer distribute your article. We can't delete copies of your content that have been archived or cached by your followers or other external parties, such as Google.

Deleting an article or draft removes it from LinkedIn permanently and we don’t save content from deleted articles. If you wish to republish an article, you will need to either copy and paste the content or rewrite it. Republished articles won't include views, shares, or comments from the previous version of the article.

To delete a published article:
  1. Click Write article in the share box near the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click the Manage dropdown menu on the upper right of the publishing tool and select Published to view a list of your published articles.

  3. From the Articles pop-up window, locate the article you’d like to delete.
