Cost Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and controlling costs within our manufacturing operations to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• and maintain standard cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead.
• actual costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
• monthly cost reports and provide analysis to management.
• in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• closely with the production team to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• in cross-functional teams to support new product development and cost-saving initiatives.
• with purchasing and supply chain teams to optimize procurement processes and supplier relationships.

Requirements:

• degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field.
• in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Ability to perform V-Lookups preferred.

Work Environment:

The role is an in-office position in Frackville, PA. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm ET.
