- Factory I/O is a 3D factory simulation for learning automation technologies. A very great tool as a PLC training platform to practice any of the automation and industrial applications. You can download a 30-days free trial from this website. You can select a specific edition, like for example Allen-Bradley, if you want to purchase it for a specific project and you don't need the other PLC controllers. For this course, I'll be using the Ultimate edition even though I will only use Allen-Bradley controllers. So the free trial for the Ultimate edition would be good for this course. Once you click on Start trial, then you'll need to complete a form for your free trial. The trial period will start on the first run of the software.
