If you’re thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 15, next week might be the time to do it.

Apple retail stores reportedly will be offering a little more cash for iPhone trade-ins from May 20 to June 3. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the cash bump will only apply if you plan on trading your phone in for the iPhone 15.

Gurman didn’t specify what the price bump will be, so your milage may vary. Currently the most Apple pays for a trade-in is $630 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Of course, if you’re looking to upgrade, you may want to wait until the end of the summer when we expect to see the iPhone 16.

Current rumors point to the iPhone 16 running on next-generation A18 chips from Apple and the tetraprism feature landing on the iPhone 16 Pro as well as the iPhone 16 Pro Max. That said, the update isn’t expected to be a huge change from the iPhone 15, so if you’ve been struggling with a phone that's slow or has a broken screen, you’re probably not missing out on much by opting for the iPhone 15 now.

The iPhone 16 release will coincide with the release of iOS 18, which is expected to bring a number of AI features to the iPhone.
