A BEAUTY guru has learned how to rejuvenate wrinkly hands from her best friend.

She said before routinely using the anti-aging tips, her bestie’s hands could be mistaken for belonging to her grandmother.

She shared her advice after a Redditor complained about their “old” hands.

Writing under @let_me_use_Reddit on the Skincare Addiction subreddit, the beauty enthusiast said her teenage best friend’s hands used to look older than the rest of her body.

“Like, at 12, her hands looked like they belonged to her Nana,” she said.

“I know exactly what you mean even if others don't.

“I say this because, like her, I imagine you've moisturized chronically over the last decade in a bid to free yourself from it.

“Ironically (and fantastically) her face never followed suit, and she looks younger than most of us.

“It was always JUST her hands.

“Everything else on her was literally perfect.

“I do wonder if you're perhaps the same, and if you know how many women would kill to have only their hands be a cosmetic concern.”

The Redditor shared several skincare tips that she learned during their decade-long friendship.

“Applying retinol to your hands,” she said. “Like, full face routine – to the hands.

I combat wrinkly hands with 3 drugstore buys - take a few minutes to let them absorb, I also use them on my décolletage

“Even if your face doesn't need it. Do a retinol face routine for your hands at night.

“Hyaluronic acid with every hand wash. Never skip."

She added that hand fillers are an option if all else fails.

"Yes, sadly, this exists," she said.

“But I get the sense it was specifically made for people like my old best friend – and perhaps, you, without ever seeing your hands and knowing whether it was akin to what she had.

“I would never recommend this off the bat, but if you try 1 and 2 and see no improvement, but it still truly bothers you – this is what you need to look at.”

Many people upvoted the post to show their appreciation for the advice.

Anti-aging tips and 'superstar' products

Dr. Anatalia Moore is a GP and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.

She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.

"Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients," she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.

“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”

Dr. Moore's skincare staples:

  • Obagi Hydrate and Hydrate Lux moisturizer, $78
  • Adequate sleep
  • Balanced diet
  • Reducing stress

Several commenters said they also use retinol, a form of vitamin A, in their handcare routines.

It isn’t uncommon for hands to age faster than the rest of the body as they are the most visible area, according to Dr. Aesthetica.

Experts recommend using sunscreen and vitamin C serum daily to protect the skin from sun exposure and environmental stressors.

Dermal fillers are considered among the “most effective” treatments for reviving hands with prominent veins, while those with crepey skin may benefit from topical retinoids.
