Treinta raises one of the largest Series A in Latin America
Bogotá, April 2022.- PayU, the payments, and fintech business of Prosus, today announced its investment in Treinta, the super-app that aims to digitalize Latin American SMEs by providing a broad range of services, including accounting, inventory management and trading solutions.
A group of renowned international investments firms, current investors and strategic partners like PayU have participated in the USD $46 million financing round, which sets a new record as the largest Series A for Colombia and one of the largest in Latin America. Treinta will use these new funds to further strengthen its product offering, expand the app’s user base and attract the best talent in the region.
Launched in Colombia, Treinta aims to drive the inclusion of the more than 50 million SMEs currently operating in Latin America, a substantial opportunity representing 1/3rd of the region’s GDP. In only 18 months since its launch, Treinta has partnered with more than 4 million SMEs in more than 18 countries in South America by providing a super-app that allows SMEs to manage their business digitally.
