FIRE crews from Warrington and Lymm are among a large emergency service response to a barn fire.
Five fire engines have been sent to the scene of a blaze on Hall Drive off Marston Lane near Budworth.
It is understood the incident is ongoing as of 4.50pm on Friday (May 17), having been first reported at 3.32pm.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters are currently tackling a large fire involving four farm outbuildings.
"The contents of the buildings include approximately 70 tonnes of straw, grains, timber, and cylinders.
"Crews have set up a ground monitor and are using two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze."
One fire engine was sent from each of the stations in Northwich, Lymm, Warrington, Winsford and Knutsford.
An eyewitness has reported that one of the barns has been "totally destroyed", with lots of animal feed and machinery ruined.
