How To Disable Google’s AI Search Answers?

If you’ve used Google’s search filters before, you’re likely familiar with the options for specific content like images, videos, and books. The “Web” filter now joins this list, positioned at the top of the page for easy access to web-driven results. To use this filter and get regular website results only –

1. Search for your desired query on Google.
2. In the subsequent results, click on “More” in the filters section.
3. Select “Web,” and that’s it!

Although Google claims that this decision stems from the fact that AI-powered results might not be possible on devices with limited internet access, we believe the real reason is the severe backlash the company has faced from both media houses and users who much rather trust traditional articles instead of an AI-generated summary.

Google has already rolled out the “Web” filter on both mobile and desktop in Europe, with a global rollout scheduled for tomorrow. Additionally, it is important to note that mobile users don’t need to navigate to the “More” section to find the filter.
