NYC based French bistro style restaurant, with great ambience, good food and friendly service. French Onion Soup, Steak Au Pouvre, Sole Meunière all good. The bomb? Raspberry Soufflé! Don't miss that!
Similar to the NYC Balthazar, but they have afternoon tea in the London branch, and it's much cheaper than the classic hotelteas, yet high quality. Teas from Postcard, quality cakes all around
Great to have a slice of NYC in London. Buzzy venue but staff interrupt you every other second. Never left in peace to talk. I'd recommend the Wolseley over Balthazar. Just as hip but more relaxed
Chicken liverparfait was simply divine and just melts in the mouth, the lobster spaghetti was perfectly done very satisfying, loved the ambience also,, one of the best dining experiences
We’d follow that pain au chocolat anywhere, along with oysters, steak frites and the feeling that we’ve somehow accidentally teleported to the chicest brasserie in Paris. Read more
Lovely little patisserie here that is part of the restaurant. They offer some delicious treats like a chocolateSalted Carameltart and chocolate eclairs to die for!
Cocktails, oysters, escargot, steak frites (skip the maitre d butter as too salty) and lots of wine. Prepare to wait even with reservations but staff is friendly and happy to serve. Enjoy!
Lovely place. Went there just to have a cream tea, got there 10 minutes after the "tea time" and the nice young waiter could still get it for me. One of the best scones ever, so soft. Gorgeous!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere, almost on par with New York's equivalent. go for the bloody mary, prawn cocktails, duck confit and raspberry soufflé!
I went there for a Sunday brunch. We had pancakes and it wasn't that good! Very sour and dry. I loved new york's branch more. The service was very quick and good! Waiter was nice. I prefer dinner in t
There is a buzz about Balthazar that is unmistakable, the décor, ambience, and the brisk professionalism of the staff give an incredible energy. Negroni Finis is a marvel to taste. Read more
What can I say? This place is amazing. Great food - salmon is great - and exceptional, genuinely friendly service. Kitchen was closed but they still prepared a 'repeat' of certain dishes we liked.
The NYC French Brasserie is finally in London. Great service, be prepared to wait for a table as reservations are full for a month and walk ins wait is usually easily and hour but the wait is worthy. Read more
Went for a delicious, generous and excellently priced champagneafternoon tea. Great selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries that kept getting r filled. Absolutely recommended!
Great brunch place, nice atmosphere, slightly different from its sister restaurant in New York. Tiny bakery hidden behind for takeaways. Stop by if you are in Covent garden
Prefer the boulangerie to the actual brasserie. Good sandwiches and salads at reasonable prices. And pastries are yum. They also deliver and do takeaway.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Brasserie. Let down by ride and obnoxious lady maître d's however this was made up with otherwise friendly and courteous service and great food. No beers on tap here however.
Great decoration and atmoshphere. Our waitress Manoela was so much fun! Wine was delicious, oysters fresh and moules marinere avec frites was just perfect. I want to go back asap!
Amazing restaurant! If your a big fan of lobster this might not be the place for you, the potion won't be as large as your love for the selfish. Try they lamb it's amazing! Staff is wonderful love dem
Just like in Paris. But in the center of London. :) Tasty desserts and good coffee. You can also have some traditional onionsoup, baguette sandwiches and salads.
Opening week, and oh my it has not disappointed. If you fail to get a reservation, ditch the big group and opt for a walk-in with your favourites. While the wait at the bar with expert drinks.
One of my favourite places in NYC is now in Covent Garden. The bread is great, I got the focaccia and it was perfect. Coffee from Square Mile, really nice. Only for take away. Full Review... Read more
French onion soup was incredible. Duck confit was possibly the saltiest thing I've ever eaten. Service was amazing. Bonus points: we spotted Helena Bonham Carter eating at a nearby table.
I stopped by in an attempt to secure a pre 10am Bloody Mary - no luck. However, the mocha substitute was outstanding. The menu looks good as well - I'll be back to sample that.
This is how all restaurants should be! Wonderful food sensibly priced, comfortable decor, fantastic bartenders - detailed mixologists really. Seats at the bar usually available! Go!!
Steak w/pomme frittes. Steak perfectly grilled and seasoned. Frittes, second attempt. Great. But restaurant a month old. So still teething. Brian, bar mgr. Brought in to help them open. Thank, god!
Good news for London, is the difference here; the drinks. Legendary Brian Silva, aka the gentlemen most famous for turning the upstairs bar at Rules into a cult classic, bravely accepted the challenge Read more
