It had been almost 30 years since my last first date. Almost 30 years ago, I met my husband, the father of my now-adult kids.
Now, it had been a year since we separated and then divorced. Terrified yet hopeful and excited were only the edges of the feelings that flowed through me as I began to get my footing to act as a single woman again.
