Rap Life

Roddy Ricch has seen what people on the internet have been saying about him and he’s not gonna let it break his spirit. “Roddy, you wealthy, Roddy, you golden, Roddy, you built for this,” he sings to himself across his latest single, “Survivor’s Remorse”. “Roddy be tired of everybody opinion behind the closed doors, you can feel the shit.” Indeed, hip-hop pundits both official and self-proclaimed had sort of collectively written off the LA MC, who once had the entire rap game eating out of the palm of his hand, but if “Survivor’s Remorse” tells us anything, it’s that the run is far from over. Ricch sounds as sure of his purpose as ever over a gospel-like Turbo and Terrace Martin production: “Imagine if I had a dollar for every time you say I fell off, I’d be a billionaire,” he sings. “I was blinded by survivor’s remorse, I was supposed to be in here.” Listen to “Survivor’s Remorse” on Rap Life, the playlist at the forefront of hip-hop culture today, and if you hear something you like, add it to your library.
