If the title alone is why you are reading this article, I promise it’s not just a hook. For several years I have been wanting to craft this article. It was never the right time, though when is the right time to make a controversial(?) statement. Still, I (and others before me) have concluded Arabic music is one of the roots of punk rock music, and it could be one of the strongest roots.
