Add YouTube video approvers for your organization

As an administrator, you can allow certain users to approve YouTube content. If you use Classroom, you can allow verified Classroom teachers to approve YouTube content. After a video or channel is approved, it's available to all signed-in users in your organization.

Approvers have unrestricted YouTube access. They can play any video and read comments. You can always review and remove approved videos and channels in the Google Admin console.

Add approvers by organizational unit or group

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2.  In the Admin console, go to Menu  AppsAdditional Google ServicesYouTube.
3. Click Content settingsSetup.
4. (Optional) To apply the setting only to some users, at the side, select an organizational  unit (often used for departments) or configuration group (advanced). Show me how

5. Check the Signed in users in your organization can only watch restricted and approved videos boxclick Save.
6. Next to Content settings, click Collapse 
7. Click Permissions.
8. Select Can approve videos.
9. Click Save. Or, you might click Override for an organizational unit.

   To later restore the inherited value, click Inherit (or Unset for a group).

Make verified Classroom teachers approvers

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2.  In the Admin console, go to Menu  AppsAdditional Google ServicesYouTube.
3. Click Content SettingsSpecial approvers.
4. Check the Verified Google Classroom teachers can approve videos box.
5. Click Save.
