Add an order: Information exchanged with Maps
When you add a shopping order to Maps, you allow a business to share with Maps some of your order pickup details, including:
- Your order ID
- Pickup time
- Store location
When your order is ready, Maps sends you a notification with the option to share your estimated arrival time with the store.
The following items are not shared with Maps:
- Credit card details
- Items purchased
- Order amounts
Maps does not store your info after the order is picked up. Your real time location is never shared. Kroger privacy policies .
Share your arrival time
When your pickup window opens, you can share your estimated arrival time with the business, through Google Maps. If you choose to share this information, then:
- When you arrive, the business is notified of your arrival time and parking info.
- The business does not have access to your real-time location.
Tip: You may stop sharing your arrival time at any time. If you don’t pick up your order within 2 hours of sharing your arrival time, you’ll automatically stop broadcasting your arrival time.
Look up your scheduled shopping order pickups
You can check Google Maps for details about your upcoming pickups scheduled for shopping orders.
Your order info and details about a place show up on Maps only within 24 hours of a scheduled pickup.
Information on completed shopping orders is removed once an order is picked up. Google automatically deletes your data related to your past and completed orders.
