NASA scrubbed the Boeing Starliner launch.

With just 3 minutes and 50 seconds to go, one of three redundant ground computers involved in the launch was slow to respond, triggering a hold and the call to abort liftoff, United Launch Alliance CEO Tory Bruno said during a press conference today.

The next target for launch is 12:03PM ET tomorrow.

Bluetti SwapSolar review: power and chill with swappable batteries

Sharing this solar generator’s batteries with a 3-in-1 solar fridge, freezer, and ice-making combo is a good idea that might get better.

If you live in Boston, Walmart can deliver groceries straight to your fridge.

It’s expanding InHome delivery to 10 more cities, including Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and San Bernardino.

With InHome, a delivery person wearing a camera uses a one-time code for a smart lock or garage door to deliver orders inside your home.

Soon, you won’t even have to order. Walmart is developing a replenishment service that automatically orders groceries for you.

Here’s how BBL Drizzy set a precedent for sampling AI-generated music.

As Drake attempts to flip taunts by Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and Metro Boomin on Sexyy Red’s “U My Everything,” the beat transitions into a sample of the AI-generated song “BBL Drizzy.”

While the Udio-generated master recording is public domain, creator King Willonious’ lyrics are copyright protected, so he could get paid for a writer credit, as Billboard reporter Kristin Robinson explains.

My kingdom for a redesigned settings menu.

According to Mark Gurman, noted Apple whisperer, we can expect a Settings redesign in iOS 18. Which, have you seen the settings menu in iOS recently? It’s chaos. We’d already heard that MacOS 15 might come with a settings overhaul, but news of a possible iOS cleanup is music to my ears.

Google Search is not serving.

A notification from Google acknowledges “an ongoing issue with serving some features in Google Search” without specifying which ones. Presumably, they’re not linked to AI Overviews, which appear to be here to stay.

Google later confirmed this reflected reports of blank results in Google News and Discover earlier, but now it’s all working again.

Update: Google now says the problem is resolved.

Currys is Microsoft’s new Surface repair partner in the UK.

If you’ve purchased a Surface laptop or tablet in the UK you can now get it repaired at electricals retailer Currys. It doesn’t matter where you purchased your device from, Currys will handle repairs at its 300 stores across the UK. It’s a lot more convenient than having to send your device back to Microsoft, that’s for sure.

The ultimate laptop flex.

GPD looks like it has created one of the most interesting dual-screen laptops we’ve seen to date. The secondary display sits on top or folds over the regular one to then close flat into a tablet. It looks impressive in the GIF below, but the key will be weight and balance. We’re expecting to hear more about the GPU Duo at Computex next week.

Allison was right.

I’ve been intrigued by Rabbit’s so-called “large action model” that trains an AI assistant to use your favorite apps on your behalf. That didn’t quite work out with the Rabbit R1, but now Apple’s taking a crack with Siri according to Mark Gurman’s latest scoop.

The new system will allow Siri to take command of all the features within apps for the first time [...] using AI to analyze what people are doing on their devices and automatically enable Siri-controlled features. It will be limited to Apple’s own apps at the beginning, with the company planning to support hundreds of different commands.

So, I guess my colleague Allison Johnson was right, the future of AI gadgets is just phones.

Acer brings the dual hertz with a 32-inch 4K OLED monitor.

Like a certain Asus monitor we saw at CES and an LG before that, the new Acer Predator X32 X3 has a dual-mode panel that can do 480Hz at 1080p, or 240Hz at 4K. Typical brightness is just 275 nits, but it can peak at 1,000 — and it offers built-in KVM with 90W of USB-C PD charging, all for $1,200.
