Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a historic gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.
Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.
As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.
The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.
On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodations on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.
Leeds is beautiful and the centre is compact and walkable.
Leeds is beautiful and the centre is compact and walkable. Impossible to drive in. Public transport no good for tourists. To get to the royal armouries museum you need a taxi and they will get lost. The leeds museum is excellent but the art gallery is appalling. They keep all their assets in store and refuse to exhibit them. Hardly anything to see there. Arcades are beautiful.

we went to a show at the first direct arena the hotel was not too far to walk and near enough to find somewhere to eat - pushing a wheelchair was a little harder in some places as the paving is cracked and we could not always get the wheels over them - plus a few bars had outside seating and with people standing around the door ways we could not get through a few of them. around work leaving time everyone was in a hurry and pushed by us - so for older people in wheelchairs not very impressed but for younger people nice - lots of beggers around the area (near 1st direct arena)
when we got to the arena the staff were great so many of them helping people to get inside - wheelchair users went in a different door and staff were even in the lift to help people get to the floor - impressed with the arena

Great venue at First Direct Arena, 10 minutes walk from city centre. Trinity Markets and huge shopping mall have wide choice of food & drink, plenty of cafes & restaurants around the centre. Plenty of retail therapy available, if that's needed!
With museums and art galleries there is something for everyone in & around Leeds - it's a very lively city!

Leeds is a big city with many of advantages and disadvantages. Traffic bad but normal for a bit city.
Decent shops and entertainment venues.
When I searched for a hotel in Leeds I also searched for a hotel with car parking and was recommended to the hotel I stayed in. When I arrived was informed that there was no car parking facilities. This is not the fault of the hotel but is the fault of the search site which was not clear on car parking. To park the car was a walk away over very busy roads. No good for disabled people who need a place to park their vehicles.
The hotel is ok and very clean.

We love Leeds.
We love Leeds. Excellent shopping, entertainment, pubs, and great hotels and transport links. The local council should pat themselves on the back. A City well looked after, and growing better every year.
We stay at the Marriott hotel ( the best ) Gino’s restaurant is inside and on the front of the hotel. Superb standards all round. For cocktails Revolution de Cuba. Indian food The Bombay Brasserie, pub food The Turks Head, for a great pub with a fab landlady and a great pint The packhorse. Enjoy !!!!!
When we arrived at our hotel, we received a really welcoming greeting from the member of staff and reception who provided us with everything we needed to know. The hotel is in a great location next to the canal and a few bars and cafe but also a short walk from Leeds City Centre. The room was nice and clean, and it was lovely to have ironing facilities and a refrigerator in the room. We also received a welcome cookie each which went down very well with a cup of tea.
The hotel was beautiful. Grand old listed building amongst the new builds and glass buildings of Leeds city centre. Room was large, very classic but modern. Super comfortable bed and bedding. Good facilities, bottled water, biscuits and tea and coffee making facilities. Robes and slippers to ensure the stay was as comfortable as possible. Managed to get a parking space on-site too, which was a real relief. Staff are lovely and very caring.
The location of the hotel was ideal with it being placed right in the city centre close to all shops and restaurants it was very handy.
The members of staff were welcoming and were respectful. The junior double room that I booked was very cosy.
I had breakfast on both mornings and have to say that the presentation and range of choice was great. Great quality of food and was definitely worth the cost.
The Met Hotel Leeds was memorable.
Location. The property is located next to city centre where there are lots and variety of restaurants, stores, etc. It’s also just 5–10 minute walk from Leeds train station. It has common room for family members to get together. There are facilities like kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine so we can cook light meals, wash clothes like staying at home.
The apartment is sparkly clean , large space , well equipped , comfy, you feel like home
Fully equipped kitchen
Great location in thr city centre , with great view
They made our stay enjoyable with clear instructions everywhere
They were nice, responsive, cooperative and much helpful
Highly recommend them , we enjoyed every single minute in this apartment
The property was in a really good location, short taxi drive in to the city centre. The apartment was well heated with some nice touches like bottled water and coffee pods. Very modern inside with a large flat screen TV. The bathroom was really nice and the beds were so comfy. The property was also very clean. I would definitely stay again.
The property is in the heart of Leeds city centre and would be the most ideal hotel to be in if you’re visiting Leeds. Trinity shopping centre was literally across the road from it, barely a one minute walk. The hotel was very clean and comfortable for my elderly father. The staff were the most lovely people and very very helpful. 10/10
Breakfast was very good, good choice and the food was tasty.
The location being close to city centre and the Leeds arena was perfect
Unresticted parking being available was a bonus although after paying £245 to stay at hotel being asked to pay a further £15 just to leave vehicle there was excessive
Fantastic apartment in a lovely, modern area of Leeds and only a short walk away from the heart of the city centre. Wonderful host with excellent communication, clean and well-equipped apartment, comfortable night's sleep - very pleased overall.
- The hotel is in a good location for visiting Leeds city centre - only a few minutes walk from the train station
- The room we ended up staying in after a move was spacious and relatively comfortable - if not a little dated and tired
Excellent central location near the train station and the city centre. No frills hotel with just the minimum to be comfortable. Perfect for someone who looks for an affordable centrally located place to stay in Leeds.
The location of Park Plaza is great as it in the city centre of Leeds with plenty of things to do in the area. a few minutes walk from the train station. The room was lovely and clean and had a great view over Leeds.
Clean, friendly stand and perfect for a short break in Leeds. Easy access to the city centre and the arena. Parking is easy and within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was adequate.
Our family union in the bar.
The reception staff who worked hard to sort out our billing which was confused between Bookings. com and Malmaison.
The location - so close to the city centre.
