Street performances, a Paddock Arcade marketplace, and authentic Native American displays. It is all part of the Downtown Business Association’s Native Solar Eclipse Festival.
With the total solar eclipse less than 2 weeks away, Albany is out with safety tips as thousands are expected to travel to areas like the north country to see the event.
Watertown is asking the state for help with the eclipse crowd expected on April 8 in the city. More than 100,000 people could come to or drive through the city to watch the event.
Lowville is in the path of totality for April’s solar eclipse, and several Lewis County organizations are aiming to capitalize on that with an event known as “totality on the Tug”.
The city was originally expecting to see somewhere between 10,000 and 100,000 visitors for the solar eclipse. New estimates from the state are predicting as many as 175,000.
