So glad this place is still there. Great view, good food. Been eating lunch here since the 1970s. Fine alternative and a lot more inexpensive than the Cliff House right below. Tuna on sourdough roll.

Get the corner booth, if you can. Great traditional diner with local, organic ingredients. A classic SF institution with great views! Great breakfasts.

Cash only but they have an ATM on site. Be sure to allow time for a walk down to the Sutro Baths - http://sutrobaths.com/ and there's ample parking across the street so don't stress about parking.

Food is nothing special. But you gotta fuel up before your big hike! Tip: beat the wait and get food to go. Eat right outside with the same view!

Told the wait would be 20 minutes; waited 45 minutes. Ordered a burger; it came burned and tasteless with wilted lettuce and mealy tomato. A greasy spoon, with 3-star prices. Avoid.

I ordered a burger. It came with limp, wilted lettuce, mealy tomato, burned and tasteless to boot. Basically a greasy spoon, with 5-star prices. Avoid.

Omelets are a huge rip off. If you order coffee, they barely give you any half & half- 6 or 7 drops per cup tops.
