- Huaisi CenDecember 4, 2015My favorite dance studio in the city. Accessible, bright and spacious. Great teacher, and the Horton and ballet classes I have taken are not much crowded.
- Really nice studio spaces with amazing teachers and a great variety of classes to try. Get a 10 pack! You’ll definitely be back for more!
- Absolute Beginner Ballet classes with Finis Jhung provide the best way for adults with no dancing experience to learn ballet. The studio is conveniently located nearby Columbus Circle.
- My place of passion. Of worship. Of art. Of freedom. I've been taking hip hop with tweety and Jonathan lee. Tweety is more NY hip; Lee is Cali. Warm ups are great with lee. Fun is cray with tweety
- To the dancers who take Sam Salazar' s Zumba class and are predatory about their spot in class and don't put their things away until class has started: its not worth it!! You are there to work out!!
- RMLJanuary 11, 2013I love to listen to the music (the beats of the drums )when I enter this place. Makes a non-dancer like myself feel as I can dance!!.
- Brazilian Samba with Quenia Ribiero is amazing. You’ll burn crazy calories!
- KEJanuary 24, 2018Beginner’s samba is amazing & they have live drums! Great place to dance. Avoid the instructor Juan Rodriguez. He snapped his fingers & yelled at another instructor like she was a dog. Rude, not okay.
- Any studio that have the sun shining in adds to the experience #aileymagic
- To the dancers who take Sam's Zumba class religiously and know all the moves. No one cares so there is no need to show off. Focus on the objective: a good sweat.
- Take absolute beginner hip-hop with Tweetie, Zumba with anyone or Samba with Quenia. Great way to have fun while getting your groove on.
- Monsters Dance ConventionsAugust 18, 2011Take classes from Ailey Extension, available for dancers of all ages. Come see us when we host Monsters Dance at the Ailey Extension nights during the year, visit www.monstersdance com for dates.
- Shagun AulakhNovember 30, 2014Beautiful dance studio. Tons of classes. Samba on Sundays with Quenia Ribero are killer and her energy is infectious
- Stella DancerellaApril 4, 2012Hip hop with tweetie mon and wed @ 7. All levels esp beginner. Learn some cool moves that you never thought you could do and impress your friend's at the club!
- Lindsey OneilMarch 29, 2011I'm sure the studio is lovely but custodians leave the lights on in the back studio all night! Residents behind love the free performances during the day but could do without the lights all night!!
- ShawnieFebruary 4, 2012Take any open class for $17. Beginner hip hop classes still require that you have some experience. If you have none, go for absolute beginner.
- Legendary in every way! Winter home of the Nike Training Club!
- Zumba class with Sam Salazar! Get there early or else wristbands will sell out since he packs in a full class!
- Alexis TiradoJuly 21, 2013Great classes BUT shitty locker rooms. If you plan on taking a shower here bring a lock, toiletries and a towel.
- Bring in your ticket stub from an Ailey performance and get your first class free! If you're already a member get 1 class free with your 10 class card purchase when you bring in your ticket stub.
- Zumba Saturdays are my favorite start to the weekend. But get there early because it gets packed!
- Take a class if you get the chance! Always a great atmosphere
- Check in with foursquare every time you are here and after 10 times you get a free class!!!!!!
- Always take the elevator in whatever direction it is going in between classes. Either way, its going back the other way.
- Shirley LimongiNovember 15, 2014Must take Richard Martinez' Zumba Class and Quenia's Samba class. Tons of fun!
- Making great friends who have 'healthy living' as a common interest!
- Take the Masala Bhangra with Sarina Jain.. It's super fun and a great work out.
- Kyra McAndrewsMarch 23, 2013Take the Zumba class with Cassie- sweating your heart out has never been so fun
- Ariel AstrachanMarch 16, 2010Masala Bhangra with Sarina Jain is AMAZING. You will love it and will be hooked immediately!
- Do yourself a favor. Take a Zumba class with Ben Byrd!
- Horton with either Karen or Adrienne will kick your butt in all the best ways.
- Front desk staff can be extremely rude and attitudinal. Avoid them if possible by buying a class card and checking in electronically. If my teacher taught anywhere else, I would avoid altogether.
- Best Zumba class ever. Combines all different types of dance. Take it on Thu with Byrd.
- If you can catch Sarina Jain at Masala Bhangra...DO IT!!!!
