This drug is utilized to treat mild to moderate pain (from headaches, menstrual periods, toothaches, backaches, osteoarthritis, or cold/flu pains and aches) and reduce fever.
Take this system by mouth as directed. Follow all directions about the product package. If you happen to be uncertain about any of the information, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
There a wide range of brands and forms of acetaminophen available. Read the dosing instructions carefully per product for the reason that level of acetaminophen might be different between products. Do not take more acetaminophen than recommended. (See also Warning section.)
If you happen to be giving acetaminophen to some child, be sure you work with a creation that was created for the children. Use your son or daughter's weight to discover the right dose for the product package. If you don't know your little one's weight, you should use how old they are.
For suspensions, shake the medication ahead of when each dose. Some liquids don't have to be shaken before use. Follow all directions around the product package. For rapidly-dissolving tablets, chew or allow to dissolve for the tongue, then swallow with or without water. For chewable tablets, chew thoroughly before swallowing.
Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets. Doing so can release all the drug simultaneously, enhancing the likelihood of negative effects. Also, tend not to split the tablets unless these people have a score line and your doctor or pharmacist informs you to do this. Swallow the full or split tablet without crushing or chewing.
For effervescent tablets, dissolve the dose inside the recommended level of water, then drink.
Pain medications perform most optimally should they be used as the first signs of pain occur. If you delay until the symptoms have worsened, the medication may well not work as well.
Do not take this medication for fever for over 3 days unless directed through your doctor. For adults, do not take this system for pain for longer than 10 days (5 days in youngsters) unless directed because of your doctor. If the child carries a sore throat (especially with high fever, headache, or nausea/vomiting), consult the doctor promptly.
Tell your physician if your condition persists or worsens or if you develop new symptoms. If you think you might have a significant disease, get medical help immediately.

This drug usually has no side effects. If you have any unusual effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
If your doctor has directed you to make use of medicines, remember that the pharmacist has judged that this advantage of you is greater than the chance of unwanted side effects. Many people using this medication tend not to have serious negative effects.
A grave hypersensitive reaction for this drug is rare. However, get medical help without delay if you see any symptoms of a critical allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
