- Sam MarcusJune 23, 2016incredible variety, arguably the greatest place in the entire city to get real beans. knowledgable staff who have a real passion for coffee!! not a cafe but you can still get drinks in the back
- This place smells magical, and the staff is helpful if you need guidance on what to select. I've had a lot of success picking solid coffees in the $12-16/lb range. High end places still win the $20+Upvoted May 9
- Kaitlin SiemeringNovember 9, 2015High quality (but cheap) coffee without any of the pretentiousness that can come with third wave coffee shops. Go straight to the back if you're not there to buy beans. Also, they do take cards!
- KarenOctober 25, 2016Really great coffee and tea, consistently no matter which decade I've gone here! Nice selection of brewing equipment and cute mugs.
- Best coffee ever! Don't forget your ouch card! Every 5 you get 1 free!!!! Also if you bring your own cup it's only $0.75!!!!
- This place is a gem. They have the best beans and espresso for the lowest prices. Why? Because they own the place and don't pay rent! Go to the back for the cash only espresso bar. Perfection.
- I think I've finally found my go to place for coffee. It smells amazing in here, the cold brew was delicious (and cheap!), and the barista was super nice.
- Sasha JonesAugust 4, 2017Such quality coffee for such a cheap price. Never have had a bad experience and the shop is so cute and authentic!
- Michael G.December 1, 2021Fantastic coffee store with lots of flavors from which to choose. The staff was very very friendly and helpful, which was appreciated cause I felt a bit overwhelmed. Prices are fair
- Rory DoehringOctober 9, 2016My whole family gets their coffee from here! They import the good stuff. I'm a big fan of their hazelnut roast, really has a good flavor.
- Start your Village stroll here with the cash only coffee and espresso in the back. It's probably the cheapest high-quality coffee that you'll find in all of Manhattan too.
- Kevin CaballesDecember 16, 2016Best spot to get coffee in the morning. There's a little register in the back to pick up cups of coffee. Also cheaper than most spots in the area but much better quality wise.
- Andrew CJune 9, 2019Walk in here, just for the smell -- its wonderful... prices seem to be quite low and well worth buying coffee, beans or to drink, and get the choco-covered espresso beans!!!
- Gabriel HayesFebruary 14, 2015Has such a wide variety of beans. Can get beans for iced coffee and espresso. My favorite regular coffee beans are the Black & Tan and the Tanzanian Peaberry
- Andrew FurmanJune 3, 2015Admire their massive bags of beans! o and get an awesome coffee. (no seating tho, in case that wasnt obvious)
- Toni HaberApril 14, 2014This aroma of coffee beans overwhelms you the second you step foot into this tiny coffee bean shop. Behind the counter, next to barrels of coffee beans, they serve cups of hot and iced coffee to go.
- Amazingly priced high quality coffee. Also have the best selection of tolani syrups in town
- Gabriel HayesFebruary 14, 2015Favorite place in NYC to pickup coffee beans. Have a whole slew of flavors, including ample organic and fair trade options
- I may not be the most knowledgable person when it comes to coffee, but I am confident that this is the best I've had! A fool for not discovering this gem sooner.
- The top-shelf ($9/lb) beans are mostly worth it, but vary wildly in quality. Get a bunch of quarter pounds until you hit a variety you like. (Organic Peruvian has been a winner for me lately)
- Jonathan L.May 12, 2018Kona & Blue Mountain available year around, but no the Puerto Rican coffee? It ranks up there as elite coffee with the both of them.
- Brendan RogersAugust 18, 2013Great coffee, and excellent prices! They own the building, so they don't have to charge a lot since they don't pay rent. But the quality is excellent!!
- The cafe blend is the best kept secret in the city for home espresso brewers; the crema is golden and tastes almost like chocolate.
- EatMeDrinkMeNYCFebruary 7, 2014No espresso here. Focused more on the retail side than the drinking side, one can still get brewed coffee of some of the most unique beans around.
- Whole-bean coffee and whole-leaf tea, sold by the pound. Unbeatable value, and they also sell all the necessary paraphernalia.
- 110 different types of beans on the floor. Try the south american beans, so flavorful. It's the meeting spot for our Greenwich Village Food Tour. Sidewalksofny.com
- Great deal on refills in the back bar and a wonderful selection of organic and fair-trade coffee beans. The aroma seeps out onto Bleecker street and will lure you in!
- Ariel VieraAugust 7, 2014Grady's Cold Brew Coffee is sold here, buy yourself a bottle and revel in the best cold brew you'll ever have.
- Thomas MoJune 10, 2014Great variety of different origin coffees at very reasonable prices. Staff is really friendly and helpful
- Buy a coffee and bring your cup back for a 65cent refill!! Totally worth it. And leave a tip. They're awesome there!
- Sean FlemingDecember 8, 2014If you're looking for a fresh cup, head to the back and pick your poison. A dollar 80 something for a large house blend, you can't beat it.
- Sofia BurtonSeptember 10, 2017Please support them instead of going to Starbucks. All their stuff is fair trade and delicious
- Gabriel HayesFebruary 14, 2015One of the best punch cards I have seen. 5 stamps only needed for a free coffee
- Polina WeitzDecember 4, 2018Love this place! Just the coffee smell is incredible. Perfect for a little pick-me-up.
- Consistently awesome coffee! Large drip w/milk is only $1.65 which is outrageously cheap considering how good it is.
- UHNWIFebruary 27, 2017You are missing a lot if you still didn't visit and try their products. Def coming back for more
- Their iced coffee is a great deal and better than the new "hip" spots in town.
- Kyle AitkenNovember 13, 2011I definitely love picking up a half of the chocolate cherry every now and again. Also some of the biggest variety of tea I've seen.
- They actually cold-brew their ice coffee and it's great if you need a summertime kick. Be sure to pick up whatever they have on sale that week and give it a try, they're usually pretty great.
- Min BMay 8, 2014It smells delicious in here and while I didn't buy any actual coffee grounds their cups of coffee are delicious
- Jake SAugust 27, 2017Coffee is over-roasted; Porto Rico has been far surpassed by third-wave shops like Third Rail or Everyman.
- Ryan KuhelFebruary 13, 2013drip coffee is good @ $1.25 a cup the bench in the front is one of the most relaxing morning spots I can think of
