Google Sites has always supported user content in any language, but the interface itself has been English-only. With this release, the application interface is available in 38 languages.

Gmail now automatically adds people that you corresponded with to 'Suggested Contacts'. You can move people you correspond with regularly to 'My Contacts'. Gmail's address auto-complete feature works for all of your contacts, whether they're in 'My Contacts' or 'Suggested Contacts'.

Furthermore, to ensure that only the right contacts are synced with your mobile device in the future, Gmail is moving previously auto-added contacts in 'My Contacts' back into 'Suggested Contacts'. Only contacts that you've moved to 'My Contacts', edited, imported or added to a group will remain in 'My Contacts' for syncing.

Google Spreadsheets now lets you view more of your work on-screen. Ctrl+Shift+F toggles between three modes: hide header, hide header and toolbar, and show all.

Google Spreadsheets now uses a simplified toolbar that makes it easier to find the most commonly used formatting tools. Spreadsheet features can now be found in the new menus, which resembles the interface you're already familiar with in Google Documents and Google Presentations.

The blue 'Share' button lets you give users viewing rights, add collaborators who can edit your spreadsheets with you, or publish your spreadsheets to the web.

This release also includes speed and performance enhancements for Google Spreadsheets.

Google Calendar users in the US can now add new events, invite attendees, and see daily and monthly views of their agendas from the iPhone. This release also includes speed improvements for the iPhone interface.

Google Docs now helps you quickly find dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia matches, plus webpage and image search results for words or phrases.

We've also added the ability to create a table of contents for documents.

For the lookup functions, highlight a word or phrase, click the 'Tools' menu and choose the 'Look up word' or 'Search the web for word' options.

Schools using Education Edition can now share videos privately and securely among faculty and staff with Google Video. Videos can be uploaded, shared with specific permissions, and watched by authorized viewers with no special hardware or software. Each school gets 3GB of video storage per user account, but admins must first whitelist specific users to give them permission to upload videos. Google Video is available for free trial in Education Edition until March 9, 2009, at which point it will cost $10 per user, per year.

How to access what's new:
Education Edition administrators can enable Google Video by signing in to the control panel, clicking 'Add more services' and then 'Add it now'. Administrators using a non-English version of the control panel must temporarily switch to the 'Next Generation' English version of the control panel to enable Google Video. Google Video will remain enabled after switching back to the non-English version of the control panel.

Once enabled, Google Video is available for whitelisted Education Edition users at http://video.google.com/a/example.com, but remember to replace "example.com" with your actual domain name.

Users of Internet Explorer 6 can now access significant Gmail performance improvements as well as new features like colored labels, group chat, an updated contact manager, remote sign out and more.
