Gmail and Gmail for mobile are now available in Persian (Farsi - فارسی), making the total number of languages that Gmail is available in to 54.

The following new features are now available in Google spreadsheets:

Vertical merge: The merge functionality has been extended to let you create vertical merges across several rows of data.
Paste options: Four new paste special options have been added including: paste all cell contents except borders, formulas only, data validation only, or conditional formatting only.
Import/Export support: You can now convert most pivot tables between Microsoft Excel files and Google spreadsheets.

How to access what's new:
Vertical merge: Select the set of cells you’d like to merge, then click on the down arrow next to the merge icon, and select ‘Merge vertically’.
Paste options: These new options are in a list under “Paste Special” in the ‘Edit’ menu of Google spreadsheets.
Import/Export support: To import a pivot table you created in Microsoft Excel, click the ‘File’ menu in Google spreadsheets, and select ‘import’, then select the file from the import options, and click the ‘import’ button. If you’ve created a pivot table in Google spreadsheets, go to ‘File’ in the spreadsheet, then click ‘Download As’, and choose ‘Excel’.

The following new features have now been added to Gmail for mobile:
Multiple sign-in: You can now to sign into multiple accounts simultaneously just like on your desktop.
Mobile-specific signature: To let your recipients know that your email has been written on a mobile device.
Vacation Auto-responder: You can now set your vacation auto-responder from the mobile version.

How to access what's new:
Multiple sign-in: To sign into an additional account, click on the account switcher at the bottom of the threadlist, then click ”Sign into an another account”.
Mobile-specific signature: Press the new settings icon, choose your signature, and then check the box to activate it.
Vacation Auto-responder: In your settings, choose a start and end date and specify your message, just like on the desktop interface.

The following features are now available to domains following the Scheduled Release track: 
Contacts Manager
  • New Contacts interface - This update brings many of the improvements seen in consumer Gmail, including the following additions for Enterprise: 
    • Add new contact information that will default to “Work” instead of “Home” field types. 
    • View domain directory contact details interwoven inline with any contact details you’ve added yourself. 
    • Add contacts from the domain directory to your “My Contacts” list in a single click. 
    • Manage groups more easily by quickly adding email addresses to groups, and picking from a contact’s multiple email addresses to use on a group-by-group basis. 
    • Revert changes to your Contacts for up to 30 days in case you need to restore deleted or merged contacts, or undo an import.


The following features are intended for release to these domains on September 27th:

Administrators have the ability to hide a user’s contact information from the rest of the domain even if contact sharing is enabled. This was previously only available using the administrator control panel.

This can now be done programmatically via the Google Apps Profiles API.

We’ve recently made some accessibility enhancements to Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Sites. Improvements have been made in keyboard shortcuts and support for screen readers among other items.

Google Calendar: Google Calendar now has new keyboard shortcuts and better screen reader support for our blind users. Members of the blind community can now use JAWS, VoiceOver and ChromeVox to manage your calendars, create and edit events or simply browse your events.

Google Docs and Google Sites: New keyboard shortcuts and better screen reader support with support for two screen readers: JAWS and ChromeVox.

We recently launched a Charts API as part of Apps Script to allow chart creation to be more automated and easily programmed. These charts can then be attached to sites, sent as email attachments, or displayed using an Apps Script UI app.

Format painter: Format painter allows you to copy the style of your text, including font, size, color and other formatting options and apply it somewhere else in your document.

Drag & Drop images in Drawings: If you’re using the latest version of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, you can now drag an image from your desktop and drop it directly in the drawing canvas.
